A site that works for the people it is for.

Every page is built from real headings, real lists, and real buttons and links, so screen readers can move through it. Every interactive control is reachable and usable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline. Images carry text descriptions, and decorative marks are hidden from assistive technology instead of being read aloud as noise.

Body text and labels are tested for contrast against our paper and charcoal grounds. Text can be zoomed without the layout breaking. Our animations, including the rotating word in the headline, stop for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion. Forms name their fields, explain their errors in words, and never rely on color alone.

Some of the denser dashboard tables are still easier to use with a mouse than with a keyboard alone. A few older journal images need better descriptions. We have tested with keyboard navigation and with VoiceOver, and we have not yet done a full audit with every major screen reader. We are working through these rather than claiming otherwise.
